So Sue Me…

I think we may have found an area where people from different cultures and geographies can finally find some common ground. Frivolous Lawsuits.

Let’s take a look at some clear examples from just the past couple days:

In Morocco, JLo is being sued for dressing scantily and disturbing public order. (How great would that be as an opening line in a bar: “Your appearance is totally disturbing the public order in this place.” Boom. Score.)

The mother of a Frenchman who joined jihadist fighters is suing France for not stopping him. (I’m not sure if she knows exactly how Western powers tend to “stop” Jihadists…)

A man in China is suing an actress because of her intense stare through his TV set. (Somethings tells me this guy can be rattled on cross examination.)

Snoop Dogg is suing Pabst Brewing because he feels he was cheated after marketing their fruit-flavored beer (apparently Flava Flav was not available). Seriously, doesn’t one lose all street cred if one markets fruity-beer? It’s not easy to give former pimps a bad name, but Snoop may have done it. (Drops mic.)

And finally, several Deadheads are threatening to sue band promoters who are trying to squeeze more fans into farewell concerts. (If I were the promoter, I wouldn’t worry too much. Deadheads aren’t exactly known for their follow through.)
