Greg, I don’t think I even hinted at the idea that tech has been bad for San Francisco. I am an investor and an indie publisher, and in both arenas, tech has made my career. I love tech. I love San Francisco. But I think those who have benefited from the good times (and I have, at a level far more than I deserve) should share the wealth with those who have not. And that includes many groups — artists getting squeezed out by high rents, first responders and teachers who can’t afford to live in the communities they serve, and disadvantaged kids like the ones 826 serves.

I really don’t think my post sells any myth at all.

My point is that tech has generally been great but we can do better.

And don’t forget to vote for 826 here. No registration needed.
